Shemshak Ski Resort Iran
Shemshak ski resort lies in pleasant cool and clean weather of Alborz Range, because of its high altitude and the dry air, it receives a great amount of high quality powder snowfall to satisfy advanced ski lovers. It is the 2nd largest ski piste in Iran after Dizin complex. Dizin slopes are suggested for beginners and intermediates, but Shemshak resort is recommended for more advanced skiers..
Shemshak slopes are the most challenging runs in the country, they are quite steep and graded the hardest and steepest slopes in Iran, a selection of ski pistes suitable for advanced skiers with many mogul runs, variety of slopes, chair lifts. You will meet Iran’s best skiers in this resort,
The resort is one of the best down hill track for wild ski and freestyle snowboarding. It has excellent powder snowfall in winter, a good place for practicing and acclimatization before attemting Mt Damavand Iran.
Snowboarders are welcome to tackel the slopes, the terrain is good for more adventurous boarders, about 1/3 are boarders. This resort is equipped with lighting facilities which allows skiing at night. Shemshak, was built in 1958.

How to go there, Transportation to Shemshak
Fly to Tehran IKA Int Airport and then travel by road to the Shemshak City Resort. Only accessible by road and can be reached by coach or car. The journey time is about 60 to 90 minutes drive from Tehran,. There is no railway station in Shemshak, the closest railway station is in Tehran.
You may reach the area by three differnt roads, the first one is shorter and a preferred way.
1- Tehran> (Resalat Highway Baqeri Junction)> Tehranpars 4th Sq.> Gardaneh Ghochak> Lavasanat> Oshoun Fasham Road> Shemshak.
2- Tehran, Afsarieh Highway> Yasini Highway> Telov Road> Lavasanat> Oshoun Fasham Road> Shemshak City.
3- Tehran-Karaj Highway> Chalous Road> Dizin junction> Dizin Resort> Shemshak Road> Shemshak Resort.
