Damavand Campsites - Third Camp Old Refuge

Camp3 Bargah Sevom is the last campsite of Damavand Mountain Southern route. Therer is an Old Shelter/Refuge, a New Hut and some flat area for tenting and camping in this campsite. A New Hut was made in 2009 by Iran Mountain Federation and is ready to give its services to the climbers. The Bargah old shelter/refuge is losing its popularity to this New Hut.

About The Third Camp, Bargah Sevom Old Shelter

The Old Refuge is the oldest Damavand camp of Mount Damavand Iran. During summer it is too crowded and it is not suitable for use. For your comfort and privacy in summer it is highly recommended to bring and use your private tent, or use the benefit of the new hut which has started to give services to climbers since 2009, you may book and use its very comfortable private rooms. In this campsite you may find some food, water, rent tent and sleeping bag in summer, but it is a good idea to bring your own stuff. More in Damavand Camp3 Shelter FAQ.

Impotant Note
This is the last campsite in the Southern route and there is not any more campsite above the New Hut.

- In a bad weather it is a safe shelter.
- For off-season it is a good place for acclimatization and accommodation.
- This refuge has some bunk beds.
- Running water is avalable in summer.
- Mobile network is avalable in some places.
- Outside toilet.

Disadvantages

- Small old shelter with no facilities.
- Noisy, very crowded and too dirty in summer.
- Not a suitable plcae for acclimatization in climbing high season.

Accommodation in Damavand Camp3 Bargah Sevom

A - New hut
The New Hut at camp3 is the best place for accommodation and accomedation in the area, it is very comfortable and very safe in case of bad weather. For more info Visit Camp3 New Hut.


B- Shelter or Refuge
