Q- What kind of acclimatisation do you recommend for climbing Mt Damavand?
A- It is mainly dependent to your mountaineering experience at high altitude, training and physical fitness. Generally speaking for ordinarily mountaineers, sleeping one nigh at Camp1 Polour 2250m and one night at Camp3 Bargah Sevom 4250 could be good enough to attempt the peak 5671m. But if you are not quite sure about your adaptation to the high altitude, you may consider the second night rest at camp3 before the summit push.

(I’m planning a ski ascent of Mt Damavand, and I’m thinking that a good start would be to go to Dizin first for a couple of days skiing at the resort. Also I’m thinking that there might be some nice mountains very close to Dizin ski resort that we might start with just to get a little bit more acclimatization before Mount Damavand).
A- For acclimatization in other ski resorts around Tehran before attempting Mt Damavand pls visit Iran Ski Resorts.
