Update 8 June 2017 - Unfortunately at the moment we have no clear answer for foreign mountaineers for how to book Damavand camps! Already Iran Mountain Federation has stopped the former reservation system and intends to make an online registration for Damavand Camps. But we are not sure when and how they can manage it for foreigners!


Q- Is there any beds in Mount Damavand, Iran third camp?
A-Yes, there are bunk beds in Camp 3 New Hut.

Q- Are there any beds, toilet, can we use the hot water showers in camp three?
A- At camp3 New Hut there are: beds, toilet (outside), kitchen and cooking equipments.

Q- Can you please tell me what facilities are available at Bargah Sevom Camp. Are there mattresses to sleep on? Is there hot water available for making food or do we have to bring our own water and stove?

Q- Are there possibilities to boil water in Damavand Mountain huts without bringing our own stove?
A- Yes, there are kitchen in the huts which you can use.

Q- Are there beds available in Bargah Sevom huts?
A- Yes, in camp3 new Hut, there are rooms with beds.

Q- Can I leave my extra gears such as tent, sleeping bag etc. beside camp 3 and start my ascent?
A- Yes no problem.

Q- - We are planning to sleep at Damavand camp 3 in our own tent. Is it necessary to book a campsite?
A- No, it is not necessary to book a campsite, but is recommended to book and use the Camp3 New Hut rooms.

Q- If we book a place in the camp3 new hut, do we need to bring our mattress?
A- No, the idea is that you climb with less equipments.


Q- I am planning to use the new hut in August, is it vacant?
A- It is crowded in August; it is a good idea to book a place in advance.

Q- Is the new constructed hut ready by now?
A- Yes.

Q- can you tell me how many people camp3 new hut can accommodate?
A- About 100, it is quite big.

Q- We are planning to go in May, will be new shelter in Camp3 open for this time?
A- Yes.

A- I am not sure; it is difficult in summer time, you may book it through your guide.

Q- How early do we need to book our accommodation for Mt Damavand in May?
A- Although the huts may not be crowded midweek and off season, but it is better to book your place at camp3 new hut.

Q- What is the email address for booking information for the "Damavand New Hut" as well as "Camp 1".
A- I have no idea about their email address. Unfortunately at the moment it is very difficult to reserve Damavand huts in crowded season in advance. especially Camp3 New Hut.
