100 Mount Damavand Club

Climbers who have climb to Mt Damavand summit Iran 100 times (or more)!

There are some great climbers in Iran mountaineering society. But there are only few who can claim that they belong to the "100 Damavand Club", because there is not any reliable source of info for such facts and statics. Neither for Damavand Iran nor for the rest of Iran mountains.

Unfortunately Iran Mount Climbing Federation is the last organization to know about such statics!
Despite the lack of data, we have decided to collect some information in this regard. We are not sure how far we can go, but we know "a great walk always starts with the first step".

So we take this opportunely to say that there ia a plcae for Damavand 100ers! And the right place is Mt Demavand Info Center the home of Demavand lovers.
We will update this page when we find these guys. We welcome any info in this regard.

Mojtaba Saghian

He has plenty to celebrate in 2007, this climber added another record to his growing collection with his 106th Damavand Peak attempt for the Iran mountaineerin society. But it is a good idea to rank him also in another category, such as extraordinary climbers. Without a doubt he is a super climber and one of the best in Iran. Climb Damavand Iran.

Update 2011
So far Mojtaba has completed his 200 climb to Mount Demavand summit and he is the only mountaineer in the world to achieve such great record! Guide Mt. Damavand.

Ardeshir Soltani

Cold and windy afternoon of 30 Sep 2008 was a great moment and magnificent day for Ardeshir Soltani, he managed his 100th climd to enormous Demavand, he has done it after 20 years!

He Started his first climb to Mt Damawand in 1988. His personal best record in a single year is 24 attemps to Mt DamavandIran summit in 2007. It could be also a new record in Iran for a single year till 2007. He has joined "100 Damavand Club" on 30 Sep 2008.

Damavand Base Camp
Goosfand Sara Campsite, or Damavand Base Camp, is the most straightforward and famous launch site for Mount Damavand treks in Iran. Set at 3,040 meters elevation, it includes a modest mountain refuge, the Saheb al Zaman mosque, and a sheepfold. This base camp is the main gateway for summer treks up the south route, located at 35.9020° N latitude and 52.1094° E longitude.
